Alfred Walter Walker, a resident of Flagler County for nearly 36 years, died at his home here Tuesday following a short illness.

He was born in Hull, Yorkshire, England, on April 1, 1863. He came to this country early in 1914, locating in Boston, Mass. and later in Peterboro, N. H.

In April 1917, he moved to Bunnell and settled with his family on a tract of land he owned near Codyville. For more than 30 years he did carpenter work in town.

Beside the widow, he is survived by one son, Gilbert George, of Jacksonville; a step-son, Julian Brown of Palatka; two daughters, Mrs. Muriel Collier of Miami; and Mrs. Kathleen Byington of Corpus Christi, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are not completed, awaiting arrival of the family. Carl Davis and Son Funeral Home of Palatka is in charge.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock for A. W. Walker, who died at his home Tuesday following a short illness.

Services were conducted at the graveside in Hope Cemetery by Rev. Robert Carr, pastor of the Bunnell Methodist Church. Carl Davis Funeral Home of Palatka was in charge of arrangements.
