Henry L. (Cracker) Ward, 62, Whispering Pines Subdivision, Bunnell, died Friday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack.

A native of Tampa, he moved to Bunnell 20 years ago from Palatka, He was employed as a dispatcher with Florida Power and Light Company. He was a veteran of WW II; a member of Palatka Masonic Lodge; Veterans of Foreign Wars, Palatka; BPOE of Palatka; and Bunnell First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; his step-mother, Mrs. Lewis Ward, Palatka; and a step-sister, Mrs. Nunnie Hancock, Palatka.

Funeral services were Monday, morning at 10:00 in the Bunnell First Baptist Church with the Rev. T. Shelton Brooks officiating. Interment was in Palatka Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers were George Pace, Al Tyre, D. H. Cobb, P. A. Edmonson, Bill Durrance and David Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Smith, T. R. Peterson, Bill Graves, John Howard, Barney Henry, Albert Kull, L. H. Church, Robert Baker and, George Canaday.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
