Mrs. Lena Ward died at her home here on Forsythe St. at 4:25 Wednesday morning. She had been ill of cancer for over a year. She was 58 years of age.

She was the widow of the late Clarence Ward of Bunnell.

Mrs. Ward came to Bunnell 17 years ago from Citra, Florida, and was a native of Coleman, Florida. She owned and operated a grocery store on Bay Street until 1949. Since that time she has managed the Ward Apartments on Forsythe St. She was a member of the Flagler County Democratic Executive Committee.

Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Leona Eisenbach, Bunnell; Mrs. Ferrell Wilson, Argentia, New Foundland:; Mrs. Evelyn Sommer, Fallen, Nevada; one son, Hubert E. Ward of Cupertino, Calif.; two brothers, Fred Ward and Albert Ward of Coleman. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Bunnell with Rev. E. W. Ware officiating. Interment will be in the Adamsville Cemetery at Coleman, Florida. The time and date of the funeral is pending the arrival of members of the family. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon from the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Lena Ward, who died at her home here last Wednesday, Rev. E. W. Ware officiated and interment was at the Adamsville Cemetery at Coleman at 4 o'clock that afternoon.

Active pallbearers were Bion Matherly, M. B. Fuller, T. K. McKnight, J. F. Mercer, Howell Peavy and Oscar Baldwin. Honorary were D. D. Moody, Levi Brannam, O. C. Shelton, Levi Drady, L. C. Moody, and H. H. Corley.

Active pallbearers at Coleman were: David Lee, Steve Patterson, Clayton Eicker, Hugh Evans, Fred Allen, and Lee Carothers. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
