Willie Washington, Negro, died in a St. Augustine hospital Wednesday from wounds received Sunday evening when, it is alleged, he was shot by Sumner Allen, young white man of Bunnell.

Allen was arrested, and tried in county judge's court Tuesday for discharging firearms from a public highway. After being fined $50 Allen was released.

Justice of the Peace Will Richardson held an inquest today, the jury returning a verdict of accidental discharge of the firearm by Allen from the highway.

Those serving on the coroner's jury were the following: Phil Johnson, Robert Deen, Jr., A. C. Rodgers, Ab Johnston, Kenneth Foraker and C. E. Pellicer, foreman.
