Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Jacksonville for Mrs. Mattie Mae Geoghagan, sister of Mrs. Martha Mercer and mother of Mrs. Gertrude Giddens of Bunnell, who died at the home of .a daughter in Jacksonville late Friday evening, following a short illness.
Services were held in the Memorial Chapel of Seashole Funeral Parlors with Rev. George Hodges, pastor of the Beaver Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Memorial Park.
She was a native of Fayetteville, N. C. but had lived in Jacksonville for 18 years. She was a member of the Beaver Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Turner Colson of Williston, Fla.; Mrs. Gertrude Giddens of Bunnell, and Mrs. Lillie Blitchington of Jacksonville; three sons, Joe, .Allen and Johnny Geoghagan, all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Mercer of Bunnell and Mrs. Cora Tyson of Jacksonville. Fourteen grand children and five greatgrandchildren also survive.
