Alexis White, 73, a native of Elmira, New York, who has been a winter resident of Flagler Beach for the past several years, died suddenly about six o'clock Monday afternoon in Daytona Beach while riding in the car with Mrs. J. A. Babbitt and other members of her family enroute to Flagler Beach.

Mr. White suffered a heart attack within three blocks of the Halifax Hospital to which he was rushed for examination and where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

He had made his home with the Babbitt family in the Moody apartments during his stay in Flagler Beach this year. He had resided in Troy, Pa., Westport, Conn., and points in Florida for a number of years.

The body was shipped to Troy, Pa. today where funeral services and burial will be held at the family cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Baggett, Wetherby and McIntosh Funeral Home of Daytona Beach.

Survivors include one son, James White of Westport, Conn.
