William J. Williams died at the Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine on Saturday night, February 27th, following a short illness.

Mr. Williams was a former resident of St. Johns County but has lived in Flagler County for the past ten years. He served as sheriff of Flagler County at one time, filling the unexpired term of the late Perry Hall.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Frances Williams; two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Rogers of Long Island, N. Y., Miss Willie Mae Williams of Bunnell and a son, Herman Williams, of Bunnell; also two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the local Baptist Church at two thirty Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. J. A. Partridge in charge. Burial was held at the Moultrie Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Key-McCabe Funeral Home of St. Augustine.

Pallbearers: were: George Moody, E. W. Johnston, H. A. Eisenbach, D. B. Brown, A. A. Walker, and J. N. McIntosh.
