On Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, April 9, 1921, the Death Angel entered the home of John E. McPherson of the vicinity of Codyville and took his beloved wife. She had been in feeble health for a number of months and despite the constant watch, care and tender solitude of her husband and two sons, she gradually grew weaker and less able to withstand the final attack which came at. noon in the form of a paralytic stroke, rendering her speechless, and she passed away about three hours later However, she was conscious to the last and did some writing to make her wishes known after she could no longer speak..

The funeral was from the home, conducted by Rev Eades of the M. E. Church, Bunnell. Interment was at Espanola Cemetery and was attended by a large number of sympathizing friends and neighbors.

The subject of this sketch was: Miss Nettie A. Wooley of Altona, Illinois. She was born August 16; 1866 and was married to John E. McPherson at Prairie City, Iowa, August 16, 1894..

Her age at death was 54 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Besides her husband and two sons, Harper E. and Keith W., she is survived by one brother and three sisters.
