Mrs. Barbara Jean Garnto, age 64, of Macclenny, Florida, died Friday, June 13, 2003, in the Shands of Jacksonville Hospital, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Garnto was a native of Jacksonville, Florida, and the daughter of the late Edwin Lee and Eunice Raulerson Bell.
She moved to Macclenny in 1979 from Holly Hill, Florida, and was a member of the Christian Fellowship Temple. During her working years, Mrs. Garnto was employed at the Allied Plastics Company of Jacksonville, Florida, for many years.
Mrs. Garnto was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Yvonne Pearson.
Survivors include one sister, Jan Clayton of Astor, Florida; one niece and daughters, Delanna Bandel and Jamie and Jackie of Holly Hill, Florida; four aunts, Mary Coffman of Melrose, Florida, Gladys Lauramore of Macclenny, Florida, Inez Burnsed of Tennessee, and Edith Kimball of California; one aunt and uncle, Robert and Margaret Burgess of Jacksonville, Florida.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11 :00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003, with the Reverend David Thomas, Pastor of the Christian Fellowship Temple of Macclenny, Florida, officiating. Interment followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida.
Guerry Funeral Home of Macclenny, Florida, was in charge of arrangements.
