James G. Bratcher, 68, of 10th Street, who retired in 1984 from Daytona Beach Community College as co-director of building and grounds maintenance, died Tuesday at home.

Mr. Bratcher came here 50 years ago from Bunnell, his birthplace. He had worked 30 years for DBCC and other Volusia County schools supervising plumbing and heating maintenance. 

Survivors include his wife 33 years, Odeline; three sons, Thomas E. Diggs, Holly Hill, Ronny D., Bunnell, and James M., Clifford, Mich.; two daughters, Shirley M. Keesling, New Smyrna Beach, and Linda J. Lindley, Vancouver, British Columbia; four brothers, Glynn Dale and Henry M., both of Holly Hill, Lonney, Titusville, and Charles E., Cape Coral; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
