Mildred "Millie" Warrington Millie Warrington, 94, mother of Gail Wesson, went to be with her Lord on April 28, 2010. She was being cared for by the wonderful staff of Covenant Hospice and Chipola Nursing Pavilion.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband Louis Bernasconi; son Louis Bernasconi, Jr.; daughter Linda McClain; and second husband Virgil Warrington.

Millie is from Eustis in Lake County, where she resided for more than 50 years. She was born in Saxton on April 16, 1916, graduated from Bunnell High School in 1935, also lived in Pittsfield, Mass., and returned to Eustis in 1947 to make this her home.

Millie had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Eustis for more than 50 years. She was in the senior adult choir for 22 years, singing and bringing much joy to her Lord and the congregation. She attended the Friendship Sunday school class and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She is well known in her community. She was president of the Gardenia Garden Club for nine years, and also served as president of the Lake County Council of Federation Garden Clubs. She served as general chairman of the Holly Ball Debutantes for 13 years. She was elected Orange Queen of Eustis in 1967. She also served as co-chairman and general chairman of the Lake County Flower Show. She loved her community and will be missed. She had such a beautiful smile and loved everyone.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Wesson and husband Carl Wesson, of Greenwood; grandsons Thomas Michael Hobbs and wife Lesley Hobbs, of Redmond, Wash., Dr. Jon Louis Hobbs and wife DeAnne Hobbs, of Concord, N.C., and Brian McClain and wife Michelle, of Florahome; step-grandson Steve Wesson and wife Rachel Wesson, of Arcadia; sister Aileen Chaffee and husband Duke Chaffee, of Daytona Beach; brother William Bray and wife Kathryn, of Ormond Beach; great-grandchildren Conor Hobbs, Ashley Hobbs, Dani Hobbs and Brendan Hobbs of Redmond, Wash., Madison Hobbs, William Hobbs and Julia Hobbs of Concord, N.C., and Steve Wesson Jr. and Randy Wesson of Arcadia. She is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews. Millie will be taken to Eustis, where her family lies, and a memorial service will be held for her there.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a memorial contribution in her name to Covenant Hospice or to your favorite charity.
