Gary L. Buckles, 69, of Palatka, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Flagler and Putnam County.

Gary had worked as a reliability specialist at Georgia Pacific retiring after 38 years of service. He had also owned and operated Reliability Plus with his son, Frank Buckles. In his leisure time, Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Cora Buckles and brother, Michael Buckles.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Faye Buckles, son, Frank Buckles (Tami), daughters, Vicky Buckles and Amanda Buckles Landis (Zachary), brother, Randy Buckles (Penny) and grandchildren, Cora Landis, Lillian Buckles, Meradith Buckles and June Buckles.

Burial took place in Palatka Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
