Mr. Burnsed was born in Daytona Beach, Florida. He grew up in Bunnell, Florida, and was a farmer. He earned a degree in electronics from Daytona Beach Community College, then attended UF and moved his family to Gainesville, where he worked as a senior engineer in the Nuclear Chemistry department until his retirement. Mr. Burnsed was an avid fisherman, loyal Gator fan, loved playing music, and loved to dance. He was a descendent of one of the pioneer families of Flagler County. He was a Christian, and was passionate about politics.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernadine Stanish Burnsed, son-in-law, Christopher Fredette, and his parents, Frank James Burnsed and Eva Ruby Schultz Burnsed, sister, Evelyn and brother, Jerome Francis Burnsed (Bill).

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Davis Burnsed; daughters, Denise Burnsed and partner Amy Varner and Davida Burnsed Fredette; three grandsons, Jason Fredette, Austin Fredette, and Ryan Daugherty; stepchildren Edwin, Patti Jo, and Rick Davis, and step-grandsons Colin Williams and John Curtis Davis and nephew, Paul White.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Fr. Roland Julien officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
