ORMOND BEACH -- John J. Chandler, 57, of Shadow Lane, an electrical engineer for the Bonko Company, Sanford, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital. 

Mr. Chandler, an Air Force veteran, was born in Haw Creek and was a lifelong resident of the Daytona Beach area. He was a member of United Brethren Church, Holly Hill, and enjoyed cars and motorcycles. 

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Karen F.; a son John D., Bremerton, Wash.; a daughter, Kimberly Chandler, Flagler Beach; two brothers, Gregory Byington, and Charles Byington, both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Susan Pelletier and Judi Leatherberry, both of Jacksonville; and a grandson.

Memorial donations may be made to Missions-Tomoka Christian Church, 1151 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach 32174.
