July 14, 2009Catherine C. "Kay" Czyzycki Panella, 95, of Lake Forest, and formerly of St. John, Ind., passed away Friday, July 10, 2009.
She was born March 22, 1914.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph, M.D. Loving mother of Joseph (Sherry) Panella, M.D., Mary Kay (Gary) Mouton and Margaret (Philip, M.D.) Rathbun. Dear grandmother of 10. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
She was a dedicated nurse for over 25 years in partnership with her husband in Chicago, Meredosia, Jacksonville and Chapin. She was very active in the communities in which she lived and was a devout Catholic throughout her life.
Funeral services will be today at 10 a.m. Prayers from Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Lane (1/2 block west of U.S. 41/Wicker Avenue at 97th Street) St. John, Ind., to St. Michael the Archangel Church in Schererville, Ind. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind.
