Graveside services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Hope Cemetery for George W. Durrance, 71, who passed away Wednesday, August 15 at Daytona Beach General Hospital, Holly Hill, after a short illness.

Elders Douglas Johnson and Lyle Burhart of the Church of Latter Day Saints officiated.

Active pallbearers were Walter Goodwin, Freddy LaVeille, DeWayne Metts, Nathan Durrance, Tommy Durrance and Eugene Cupps. Honorary pallbearers were Dewey Jones, Herbert Allen, Levi Brannam, Donald Hudson, Roy Likins and George Wickline.

Durrance was born in Espanola and was a lifelong resident of Flagler County.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; his mother, Mrs. Rosa Durrance; five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Moran, Mrs. Pearl Woods, Mrs. Frances Yelvington of Bunnell; Mrs. Bessie Brooks, Ft. Meyers, and Mrs. Elizabeth Dawson, Orlando; two brothers, Guy, New Smyrna Beach, and Hiram, Bunnell; and a number of nieces and nephews.

McGrath Funeral Home, St Augustine, was in charge.
