Funeral service celebrating the life of Homer V. Fillinger, 78, Bunnell, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at his residence, will be held Friday at 12 Noon in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach. Friends may visit Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Fillinger was born in Henlawson, W.Va., and moved to this area from Kissimmee, Fla. in 1995. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean conflict where he received two Bronze Stars.

Mr. Fillinger was a welder in the steel industry before his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and took a lot of pride in his lawn. Mr. Fillinger will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara; three stepdaughters, Alayne Lacy and her husband Edward, Decatur, Ill., Nancy Barker and her husband Jess, Sullivan, Ill., Helen Park, Champaign, Ill.; three sisters, Cara Adams and Bessie Thompson and her husband Tom, all of Korona, Fla., Betsy Spivey and her husband Gene, Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
