Mrs. Evelyn Fowler White, 96, of Holly Hill, died Thursday, July 14, 2010, at The Oaks in Orangeburg. 

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at First Baptist Church in Holly Hill, with Dr. David Brien and the Rev. Earl Behr officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be great-grandsons and great-grandsons-in-law. 

Mrs. White was born in La Cross, Wis., a daughter of the late Amos Fowler and Louise Neurer Fowler. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School in Bunnell, Fla., and retired after 18 years as librarian of the Orangeburg County Public Library in Holly Hill. Mrs. White was a member of First Baptist Church in Holly Hill, where she was a member of the Emmie Felder Sunday School Class and the Ruth McCoy Missions Group. 

She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph E. "Joe" White, and was the widow of Fred Folks White. 

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Betty White of Holly Hill; grandchildren, Pam (Tom) Gaddy of Florence, Amy (Dale) Crowe of Easley, Jody (Laura) White of McDonough, Ga., and Mark (Debbie) White of Lexington; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill.
