George H. Giebert, Jr., 71, passed away July 9, 2004 after a brief illness. He was employed by First Union National Bank for over 40 years.

Mr. Giebert is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cheri Giebert; three daughters, Melanie Fortenberry, Kristen Peterson (John) and Jana Giebert; brother, Holland Giebert; three grandchildren, Michael Fortenberry, Alex and Meredith Peterson.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 13th at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14th at San Jose Episcopal Church, 7423 San Jose Boulevard. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family request that memorial contributions may be made to San Jose Episcopal Church or the charity of your choosing.
