Mary Ardith Gray, resident of St. Augustine, fought a courageous battle but died on Dec. 29, 2011 in the home of her daughter, Linda Morgan, in Martha"s Vineyard, Mass.
She was born in March of 1939, the daughter of Herbert and Beryl Gray. She was of Minorcan descent.
She went to Bunnell High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in ministry studies. This enabled her to travel and share her passion for teaching the word of the Lord. Aside from her passion of ministry, she worked for 35 years at Georgia Pacific.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rita, the father of her children, Lloyd Stone, and her daughter, Peggy Maedgen.
Mary Ardith is now rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Family Worship Center.
Burial will follow at Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
Mary Ardith is survived by her son Daniel Ray Stone, her son-in-law, Jim Maedgen, her daughter and son-in-law, Vikki and Vic Davidson, and her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dale Morgan. She so loved her grandchildren Chase, Sara and Dalton and great grandchildren Brianna, James and Mercedes.
