Clinton E. Harris, 81, of Lake Park died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. He was born on August 15, 1931 in Lakeland, Florida to the late Lucien and Lillian Harrelson Harris.  

He was a veteran of the Navy reserves and the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in forestry and began with Rayonier where he retired as a Forester Supervisor. Upon retirement, he moved to the Valdosta area in 1996. Mr. Harris was a member of the North Valdosta Church of Christ. 

Services for Clinton E. Harris will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Kent Heaton officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
