HARLEYVILLE, SC - Janet Elaine Hoff Cummins, 75, of Harleyville, wife of Paul William "Bill" Cummins, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in a North Charleston hospital.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Harleyville, with Rev. Terry Hiers officiating. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery.

Born in New Windsor, MD, Jan was a daughter of the late Charles Melvin Hoff and Elizabeth Irene Purdum Hoff. She was a secretary at the former Holly Hill Lumber Co., later Georgia-Pacific, and finally Pennington Cross Arm Co. Jan was an active member of First Baptist Church, Harleyville.

Surviving are her husband, Bill of Harleyville; daughters, Terry Cummins of Deltona, Fla. and Wendy (Clay) Mims of Harleyville; sister, Joan Schatz of Simpsonville; a brother, Charles (Peggy) Hoff of Flagler Beach, Fla.; and grandchildren, Connie Mims of Tampa, Fla., and Bill (Laura) Mims of Charleston.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill.
