Funeral service for John B. Hosford, Sr, 85, North Pine Street, Bunnell, who died Saturday, August 4, 2001, at Memorial Hospital, Flagler, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, at First Baptist Church, Bunnell with the Rev. Beth Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Espanola Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Tuesday, August 7) at Craig Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr Hosford was born in Wauwatusa, Wis. and moved to Flagler County with his family in the 1930's. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bunnell, and served as Deacon and Sunday school superintendent. Retired as a farmer, he worked for Clegg Farms from 1942 until his 70th birthday.

He was predeceased by his wife Claudine Cantrell Hosford.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Phyliss and Bernie Hirsch (Hirschi); son and daughter-in-law Brice and Judy Hosford, Bunnell; two brothers, Gerald, Orlando, and Richard, Sebring; two sisters, Marion Bucknam, Wisconsin, and Carolyn Raulerson, Bonifay; stepson Jim McKinney, Jacksonville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and good friend, Roger Edwards, who helped care for him during his illness.
