James Kenneth Jones of Gainesville died Friday at Shands at AGH. He was 92

Mr. Jones was born in Lake City and moved to Gainesville from Live Oak in 1954. 

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the owner of Jones Hardware in Gainesville from 1954 to 1975. 

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Church Elder. 

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nettie B. Jones of Gainesville; a daughter, Linda J. McMullen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a grandchild.
