E W "Walt" Pellicer, 76, retired sheriff of Putnam County, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, following an extended illness. Services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, March 3, at First Baptist Church of Palatka with the Rev Charles T Rabun, Jr and Dr John L Pelham officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery, Crescent City with Pineland Lodge #86 F&AM and the Putnam County Sheriff's Department conducting respective rites.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 2 from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. at Johnson-Overtuft Funeral Home, Palatka. Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Rodeheaven Boys Ranch, 380 Boys Ranch Road, Palatka, FL 32117 or to the Putnam County Shrine Club, P.O. Box 291, Palatka, FL 32117.
