Ms. Lottie Stone Former Waterbury resident
NEWINGTON - Lottie Stone, formerly of Buckingham St., Waterbury, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 24, 2010, at Jefferson House. She was 99 years old.
Lottie was born Feb. 5, 1911, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Levine) Stone. She moved to Waterbury and worked for Timex. She then relocated to Newington nearly eight years ago.
Ms. Stone is survived by her nieces, Beatrice Priola and her husband, John, of Newington, and Elaine Laufer of N. Miami Beach, Fla. She also leaves three grandnieces, a grandnephew, and nine great-grandnieces. A sister, Esther Leisring, is deceased.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Sunday at Waterbury Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Stillson Road, Waterbury. Shiva Minyan will be observed 3 p.m. at Beatrice Priola's home in Newington following the committal service. The Snyder Funeral Home, 114 Willow St., Waterbury, has been entrusted with arrangements.
