MIDDLETOWN, RI - Henry B Trojan, 88, of Middletown, a former resident of Korona, died Friday at Newport (RI) Hospital. Mr. Trojan was born in Chicago and moved in 1913 to Korona, where his family owned the White Eagle Hotel.

Enlisting in the Navy after his graduation from Bunnell High School in 1934, he served for 30 years and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American, and African-European medals, and a presidential citation for mid-Atlantic operations. He was a member of the Middletown Democratic Town Committee, Fleet Reserve Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
        
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth; three daughters, Ruthann Vergara, Portsmouth, RI, Linda Sheehan, Newport, and Karen Santa, Middletown; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
