Dorothy Mae Patilla, 66, of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at the Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness.

Dorothy was a native of Grayslake, Ill., and has been a resident of Putnam County for more than 48 years. She was a visitor at Grace Community Baptist Church and was retired from her lawn maintenance business.

Dorothy was preceded in enternal rest by her parents, Roy and Jane (Loomis) Way Sr,; husband, Charles O. Patilla; daughter, Laura S. Patilla; sisters, Roseann Galbreath and Laura Jean Way and brother, Roy Way, Jr.

To cherish her memories are daughters, Debra Patilla of East Palatka and Cindy Patilla of South Carolina; son, Charles (Tammie) Patilla of Clarksville, Tenn,; sisters, Carolyn Smith, Linda Edwards and Mary (James) Odom, all of Bunnell; brother, Harvey (Carol) Way of Bunnell; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.

Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the “Chapel of Serenity,” 2400 Madison At., Palatka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dorothy Patilla Family Tribute Fund, c/o Debra Patilla, P.O. Box 297, East Palatka, FL 32131.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel.
