BUNNELL -- Phillip M. Zimmerle, 53, of Opossum Lane, the president of Zimmerle Construction Co. for 13 years, died Saturday at home.
Mr. Zimmerle was born in St. Augustine, and moved to Bunnell as a young child. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Flagler County Cattlemen's Association where he was honored by having his name dedicated to Cracker Day this year. He also was a member and former president of the Flagler County Fair and Youth Show.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; two sons, Donald "Bubba", Palm Coast, and Phillip, Bunnell; a daughter, Amanda Harding, Palm Coast; his father, Homer, Chapel Hill, Tenn.; three brothers, Charles, Mike, and Dan, all of Tennessee; two sisters, Pat Cody, Bunnell, and Kim Lewis, Oregon; and five grandchildren.
