DEATH OF MRS. S. C. BENNETT
On Tuesday evening, Oct 17th, Mrs. Cora Miles Bennett died at the home of her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Miles, after an illness of about two weeks.
Mrs. Bennett was 25 years of age at the time of her death and had with the exception of a short period, always resided in Baxley. She was a quiet, unassuming Christian lady who numbered her friends by her acquaintance. She had been a consistent member of the Methodist Church where she always took an active part in its work. She was married to Prof. S. C. Bennett a little over a year ago.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. T. Freeman assisted by Revs. G. N. Smith, W. J. Ballew and R. P. Fain. The remains were carried to Deen Cemetery Wednesday morning and there laid to rest.
Besides her husband Mrs. Bennett is survived by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Miles; three sisters, Mrs. Geo Moody of Bunnell, Fla., and Mrs. W. C. Parker and Mrs. J. W. Bohen of this place.
In their bereavement the relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
