Darwin Mullis Glosson, age 58, of Alma passed away on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a life-long resident of Alma-Bacon County, GA.

He was preceded in death by son, Rhonwyn Glosson Treadwell and brother-in-law, Ray Faulkenberry, his parents, the late Doyle Victor Glosson and Ruby Lee Mullis Glosson and siblings, Ray Glosson.

He was a former employee of Hazlehurst Mills and Pike Electric. Darwin’s favorite things were his family first, then digging in the soil planting and growing fruits and vegetables and then his little red truck.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Julie Rigdon Glosson of Alma, three sons, Darwin and John Glosson of Alma and Lee Glosson (Candace) of Jacksonville, FL. Also his brothers and sisters Roslyn Faulkenberry of Kershaw, SC., Sue Burton (Arthur) of Marietta, GA., Diane Newton (Jack) of Acworth, GA., Doyleta Johnson (Troy) of Dallas, GA. and Randy Glosson (Rita) of Canton, GA. and sisters-in-laws Janet Glosson of Valdosta, GA. and Pat Simpson of Port Charlotte, FL. Surviving also is his mother-in-law Felicia Mullis, sister-in-law Patricia Varnadore of Alma, a grandson, Nolan Glosson and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9th at 11:00 at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Deen Cemetery in Appling County. The body will be carried to the church at 10:00 AM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Scott Little, Charlton and Martin Head, Brand Treadwell, Troy Johnson and Logan Varnadore. Honorary pallbearers will be; Charles Varnadore and members of Big Creek Baptist Church.
