Baxley - - Carrie Deen Vaughn, 92, died Saturday, May 4 in the Appling Health Care System after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Appling County, she was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church where she was a charter member of the Hopewell United Methodist Women.

Survivors: daughter, Carolyn Morris of Baxley; granddaughters, Deborah M Sellers of Baxley, Eva M Hickman of Brooklet, Beth M Dowden of Statesboro, Lynn M Morris of Chicago, IL and Jean F Wilkes of Augusta;  Grandsons, Henry C Morris and Calvin Morris both of Baxley and Alan Hugh Faircloth of Augusta; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 6 from the Hopewell United Methodist Church. The body will be carried to the church one hour prior to service.

Burial: Deen Cemetery.
