CHARLES DUPONT HAS PASSED AWAY

After ill health of several years and well advanced age, Charles Dupont, a well known citizen of St. Johns county, died this morning in St. Augustine.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock from the undertaking establishment of J. W. Sanchez and Son, the Rev. Harton H. Higler, D.D., pastor of Memorial Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be in the old family plot at Matanzas.

Mr. Dupont comes from an old East Florida family and is well known throughout the county. He served as county superintendent of public instruction and later as a member of the legislature from St. Johns.

He resided for many years at Matanzas but for the past two or three has made his home in New Augustine.
