Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine on Thurs¬day, March 25, for George E. DuPont, brother of John L. DuPont, of Flagler County, with Rev. Frederic W; Golden-Howes, rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment followed in the family cemetery on the DuPont Estate.
Mr. DuPont was born and reared to young manhood on the DuPont Estate in the northern part of Flagler county. He resided in. Port Arthur, Texas, for the past 43 years where he was well known, working as a marine engineer. He was 59 years of age.
Survivors include his widow and one son, George E. DuPont, Jr., who is now in the transport service; three brothers, John L. DuPont of Flagler County, Frederick B. DuPont and Julian DuPont.
Serving as pallbearers were coastguardsmen who are stationed at Marineland, near the DuPont Estate.
