BUNNELL -- George E. Allen, Jr., 70, of West Moody Boulevard, a lifetime resident, died Friday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler after a brief illness.

Mr. Allen was an active cattle­man and farmer in the Flagler County area. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a pilot in the Airborne Division. He was a member of the Florida Cattleman's Association and the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, George E. Allen III; two daughters, Ida Prevatt, Seville, and Lila Henry, Bunnell; two sisters, Ria Johnston, Bunnell, and Louise Durshimer, Albany, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

ALLEN, JR., GEORGE E. -- Graveside funeral service for George E. Allen, Jr., 70. West Moody Blvd., Bunnell, who died Friday evening at Memorial Hospital­Flagler, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Espanola Cemetery with Rev. Robert Turner officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday (today) from 5 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen was a life resident of Bunnell and was an active cattleman and farmer in Flagler County and surrounding areas. He was a World War II Army veteran and served as a pilot for the U.S. Army Air Borne Division. Mr. Allen was a member of Florida Cattleman's Association and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bunnell.

Survivors include two daughters, Ida Prevatt, Seville and Lila Henry, Bunnell: one son, George E. Allen III, Bunnell: two sisters. Ria Johnston, Bunnell, and Louise Durshimer, Albany, Georgia, and five grandchildren.
