ARNOLD, VIVIAN GAYLE

Vivian G. Arnold, who died Thursday, July 28, 2005, was a lifelong resident of Flagler County.

Born Sept. 4, 1955, she was the daughter of Frances and Joe Arnold, early residents of the area. With the exception of a few years spent in Panama City, Holly Hill and High Springs, Vivian always returned home to Flagler County.

As a child, Vivian attended the First Baptist Church of Bunnell. She was active in the Girls' Auxiliary and the Girl Scouts, both clubs meeting at the same church hall. Viv loved being around family and friends. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. In later years, her main interests centered around her children and her home. She loved to read, cook, dance and listen to music. In the last days of her illness, Viv once again wanted to "come home." She went on to be with our Lord and Savior while staying at her brother's house.

Family members left to carry on her memories are as follows, a firstborn son, Jason Arnold; Vivian's mate of 26 years, Earl "Herb" Hamilton, residing at their home in High Springs. Together and with God's grace, they produced four beautiful children, who in turn, produced them with three beautiful grandchildren. Their children, Ricky and Shelby, who need to know that future birthdays will be better; Cheryl, who is proud to carry the likeness of her mother's face; and Gayle, who was blessed to be her mother's closest caregiver. Three precious grandchildren, Summer 31/2, Ariana 21/2, and Jonathan 8 months. Viv grew up with three brothers, Darrell, Joe and Archie, all of whom have their own special memories.

The family respectfully asks for your prayers for all cancer victims and their families. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Espanola Cemetery. Cards may be sent to 43 Ft. Caroline Lane, Palm Coast, FL 32137.

The family appreciates the caring services of Craig Funeral Home.
