Thursday, April 26, 2001Funeral service for Moses R Atkinson, 57, County Road 13, Bunnell, who died at home Monday, April 23, 2001, will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 27 at First United Methodist Church, Bunnell. Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Thursday, April 26) at Alderson's Palm Coast Community Funeral Home.
Mr. Atkinson was born in Waycross, GA and moved to this area 56 years ago from Waycross. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bunnell, Moose, FFA, St. Johns Park Pioneers, Espanola Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid Ford NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his wife, Joann, daughter, Melissa Bea Atkinson-Brock, and son-in-law Dannie Brock, brothers Harry, Bunnell, and Neil "Jiggs" Oklahoma; step-grandchildren, D. J. and William Brock; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews; and one great grand nephew: Nanny, Cora, Folkston, GA, and grand-dog, Dixie.
