Mary Helen Baker 71, of Bunnell passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012, 10:00AM at Espanola Cemetery.
She was born on August 7, 1940 in Statesboro, GA to the late Dorsey Davis and Mary Lucille Metts (Clark). Mary was raised in Savannah, GA but spent most of her life in Bunnell. She owned and operated her own babysitting service. Mary volunteered for 15 years at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bunnell with their outreach program and Sunday school. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and will always be remembered as the “Red Geranium House”.
Survivors include the father of her children, William F. Baker Sr. of Bunnell; children, Karen and her husband Jim Stella of Orlando, Melinda and her husband Scott Schalk of Bunnell; William F. Baker Jr.; sisters, Deborah Henderson of GA; brothers, Johnnie Metts of Mississippi, Ronald Johnston of Flagler Beach; grandchildren, Heather Stella, Gregory Stella, James Schalk, Dakota Baker; step-grandchild, Amber Schalk; step-great-grandchildren, Adrianna Schultz, Lexy Schultz and Isabella Schisel. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Russell Home in Orlando, Florida.
Arrangements are under the trust and care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
