Mrs. Minnie S. Barber, 90, 111 N. Anderson St, Bunnell, passed away Sunday morning at Putnam Memorial Hospital, Palatka, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Barber, a pioneer resident of Bunnell, was born in Appling County Georgia and moved to Bunnell 68 years ago from there. She was a charter member of the First United Methodist Church of Bunnell.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at First United Methodist Church, Bunnell, with the Rev. Earle Wilder officiating. Interment was in Espanola Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. J. H. McKnight Jr., Flagler Beach; Mrs. Claude G. Varn, St Augustine, and Mrs. C. A Byrd, Seville; one son, John E. (Pete) Barber, Ocala; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Buchanan, Jacksonville; ten grandchildren including Shelton Barber and Annabelle Barber of Bunnell; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Lee Blakely, H. V. Peavy, M. B. McDaniel, Hubert Frier, Lewis Wadsworth and Philip Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were H. T. Cook, Clyde Lewis, W. L. Wadsworth, R. W. Deen, O. F. Alford, T. L. McKnight, Tom Holden, Malcolm Johnson, Charles Creal and W. W. Deen.
