BUNNELL – Lonnie B. Bratcher, 64, Bunnell, died Friday at his home. 

He had lived in Bunnell for the past 44 years, after moving from Blackshear, Ga. He was a retired Port Office employee and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell. 

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; seven sons – Robert, Carl and Charles of Bunnell; James and Henry, of Daytona Beach; Lonnie Jr., Titusville; and Glen Dale, West Palm Beach; five sisters – Mrs. Dicy Pervice, Mrs. Maitta Pervice, both of Alma, Ga.; Mrs. Sara Anj Martin, Atlanta; Mrs. Mattie Stewart and Mrs. Grace Stewart, both of Jacksonville; two brothers – Ira and Reppard, both of Jacksonville. 

Service will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the First Baptist Church, Bunnell. Rev. T. M. Pinner, pastor and Rev. Paul Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Espanola Cemetery. Calling hours are from 8 p.m. today until 2 p.m. tomorrow at Mr. Bratcher’s home.

Lonnie B Bratcher of Bunnell passed away at his home, East Moody Blvd., at 7:30 Friday evening following several months’ illness. He was 64 years of age.

Mr. Bratcher was born in Blackshear, Ga., and had lived here 44 years. He was retired from the postal carrier service of the Bunnell post office. He had served as custodian of the Bunnell High School for 19 years. He also was custodian of the Flagler county courthouse about 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Bratcher, Bunnell; seven sons, Robert, Carl and Charlie of Bunnell; Marvin and James of Daytona Beach; Lonnie, Jr., of Titusville, and Glendale of West Palm Beach; two brothers Ira and Reppard of Jacksonville; five sisters, Mrs. Dicey Purvis and Mrs. Mary Etta Purvis of Alma, Ga., Mrs. Sara Martin of Atlanta, Mrs. Madie Stewart and Grace Stewart of Jacksonville.  Also surviving are 17 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held from the first Baptist Church of Bunnell with the pastor, Rev. Thomas Pinner, and Rev. Paul Johnson of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Daytona Beach officiating. Burial was at the Espanola Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Dale Brown, George Moody, Jr., Jack Clegg, Ray Mercer, Alfred Tucker, and Otis Hunter. Honorary bearers were Lee Blakely, Rogers Turner, C. H. Cowart and Raymond Smith.
