Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon (today) for John David Brown, grandson of Mrs. Anita Akins of St. Johns Park. Mr. Brown was drown early Monday morning while swimming in Six-Mile Creek, near St. Augustine. His body was recovered Wednesday morning.

He had recently completed a tour of duty in Germany with the U.S. Army. He was 23 years of age.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Brown, Maxwell; his grandmother, Mrs. Anita Akins, St. Johns Park; two sisters, Juanita and Rita Brown, Maxwell; three brothers, Charles Brown, Orlando; George Brown of Jacksonville and Richard of Maxwell.
