Clyde Buckles of Black Point and a native of this area died suddenly Thursday morning from an apparent heart attack. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. Buckles was retired after serving 30 years as a guard at the Institution of Correction in Belle Glade. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Graveside funeral services were held at Espanola Cemetery Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Oliver Taylor, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell officiated.

Survivors include four brothers, Arthur Buckles of Daytona, Raymond Buckles of East Palatka, Clarence of San Mateo, and Luke of Ft. Lauderdale.

Pallbearers were Steve Sparkman, Odell Hersey, Ben Sparkman, Hiram Durrance, Milton Pellicer and Harold Ramsey.

Arrangements were under the direction of Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell.
