W. M. Cauley, 61, died in a Palatka hospital Saturday, February 17, after suffering a paralytic stroke. He had had two light strokes previously.
Mr. Cauley was a native of Baxley, Georgia, but had been a resident of Bunnell for the past 25 years.
Funeral services were held Monday from the First Baptist Church here with Rev. W. K. McClure, officiating. Funeral arrangements were in charge of McCabe Funeral Home of St. Augustine and burial was made in Espanola Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Cauley; two sons, J. W. Cauley of Bunnell and Pvt. Franklin Cauley of the U. S. Army, Temple, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Hardy Smith, Mrs. C. B. King and Mrs. G. E. Barber, all of Bunnell; one sister, Mrs. Laura Patterson of Waycross, Georgia; two brothers, E. W. Cauley of Waycross, Ga. and Cliff Cauley of Philadelphia, Pa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: G. M. Barber, T. L. King, G. B. Kelly, A. M. McDaniel, Clyde Lewis and J. N. McIntosh.
