Edward Wright Cody of Hastings, former resident of Bunnell, died early Saturday morning in a St. Augustine Hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Cody was born in Knoxville, Tenn., and had resided in the Flagler and St. Johns County area for many years. He was a brother of Walter Cody of Bunnell. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Leonard, Hastings, and Mrs. Elsie Lyng of Kissimmee; three sons, Cecil Cody, St. Augustine, Clyde Cody of Detroit, Michigan, and Earl Cody of Miami. One brother, Walter Cody of Bunnell; also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 16 great grand children.

Graveside services were held at the Espanola Cemetery at two o'clock Monday afternoon with Father Duffy of St. Augustine officiating.

Pallbearers were Dick Cody, Lawrence Dahlquist, L. S. Cody, R. W. Deen, Jr., Clifford Higginbotham and D. D. Moody.

Craig Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
