Ruth Hunter Damron, 54, of Sea Ship Place, Palm Coast, passed away Sept. 18 at Florida Hospital Flagler, following a lengthy illness.
She retired after many years of service with Bunnell Hospital, State of Florida and Family Life Center. She lived in Flagler County her entire life, being the fifth generation in the county. The Hunter family were among the first settlers in Flagler County history. She was also the daughter of former Bunnell Police Chief Wilford Hunter.
She often spoke of her wonderful childhood in Bunnell. An avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan, Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren more than anything. She also loved animals and following current news events. Ruth had a wonderful smile and never met a stranger. She had an outgoing personality and was loved by all who met her.
Ruth is survived by her mother, Wanelle Hunter of Holly Hill; beloved daughters, Crystal, Lisa and Edee, all of Palm Coast; seven grandchildren; sister, Shelley Elebash of Pennsylvania; three nephews, Hunter, TJ and Isaih; and best friends, Frankie Robson, Rose Lites and Kim Anson.
Ruth will be dearly missed by all.
