Roger Ray Edwards

Funeral services celebrating the life of Roger Ray Edwards, 74, of Bunnell will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, 2301 Commerce Parkway, Bunnell, FL with Rev. Ron Moore officiating. Mr. Edwards will lie in repose from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow in Espanola Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday (This Evening) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road, Flagler Beach.

Mr. Edwards, a resident of Bunnell since childhood, passed away on January 9, 2012 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast. He was born on January 18, 1937 in Naples FL a son of the late Rubin and Mary Jewel Holly Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a retired Utilities Director for the City of Bunnell, a volunteer fireman and the Former Fire Chief, an auxiliary police officer and for many years was an elections poll worker in Bunnell. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and earlier in life enjoyed driving a dune buggy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ella Mae (Mann) Edwards; one daughter, Teresa Edwards-McMahan and her husband Wayne of Jacksonville FL; two sons, Richard Ray Edwards and his wife Christina of Bunnell, and Michael Rubin Edwards and his wife Shirley of St. Augustine FL; a brother, Kenneth Edwards and his wife Mitzi of Delaware; ten grandchildren, Trever, Kristen, Kaitlyn, Richard, Coleton, Rebekah, Tyler, Haley, Jordyn, and Jobe; and a great grandchild, Kylah.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
