Mabel M. Emery, 89, Espanola, died Saturday morning at Bunnell General Hospital following an extended illness.

Born in Bishop Hill, Ill., she moved to Flagler County 42 years ago from Volusia County. She was a member of the Bunnell First Baptist Church and VFW Auxiliary, Post 5213.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Joyce Patrick, Espanola; Mrs. Hazel Butler, Ventura, Calif.; and Mrs. Bernice Royster, Reno, Nev.; one son, Harold Emery, Espanola; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Larsen and Mrs. Hazel Sward, both of Kewanee, Ill., and 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Espanola Cemetery with Rev. Hollis Bass, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, officiating.

Active Pallbearers were Howard Emery, Quentin Emery, William Patrick, Mark Patrick, Lawrence Oliver, and John Seay. Honorary Pallbearers were Walter Creal, L.L. Harris, Bion Matherly, Victor Cowart, Roger Edwards and Shelton Brooks.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge of arrangements.
