THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, February 27, 1919

On the 21st inst. at the Adolph Deen mill at Neoga, Henry Halbeck met a horrible death by being thrown on the large circular saw he was assisting in operating and being so badly gashed that death came shortly after he reached the hospital at St. Augustine, where he was immediately sent by the mill owners.

Mr. Halbeck had not been a regular employee of the mill, but had agreed to assist just for the day.

He had intended leaving the following day for the north where he and his family were to join his aged father and mother that they might make their home with them.

Mr. Halbeck leaves a wife and six children besides his parents to mourn his loss. He was 59 years of age, and a highly respected citizen of Espanola, where his body was consigned to its last resting place Saturday afternoon.
