Frederick Harbert, 60-year-old father of Ralph E. Harbert, clerk of circuit court here, died, Monday in the Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach from a "series of heart attacks."

Mr. Harbert was a native of Eureka, Kansas, but came to Flagler County about 40 years ago where he was engaged in the mercantile business for several years. Later he went to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in which city he resided until about 18 months ago when he returned, to Florida.

He was a veteran of World War I, serving in medium artillery in France. He was a member of Flagler Post 115 of The American Legion.

Funeral services were held at the graveside in Espanola Cemetery this afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. H. B. Murdock officiating. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Harbert of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sons, Ralph of Bunnell; Henry of New York City; Wallace of Tulsa; and Glenn of Manhattan, Kansas; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Ross of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also surviving are three sisters and four brothers residing in Oklahoma and Kansas.

Pallbearers were all members of the local American Legion Post and in uniform. They were Roy Buckles, Tommy Salyerds, Hazen Benson, Bert Hamilton, Harold Johnson and Raymond Smith.
