Lucian L. Harris, 78, of 306 E. Howe St., Bunnell, died Monday in Community Hospital of Bunnell. He was former owner and operator of Harris Grocery for many years.

He came to Flagler County 37 years ago from his native Polk County. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Bunnell.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; two daughters, Kay Hornsby of Martinsville, Va., and Linda Bell of West Palm Beach; three sons, Lamar of Monroeville, Ala., Kenneth of Fayetteville, N.C., and Clinton of Gainesville; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Peel of Davenport; a brother, Vernon of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services were yesterday morning in First Baptist Church of Bunnell with the Rev. Kenneth Gaskin, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Espanola Cemetery.

Honorary bearers were deacons of the church. Active bearers, all grandsons, were Michael Whitley, Roger Hornsby, Jeffery Harris, Ronald Harris; Richard Harris and Roger Harris.

Arrangements were by the Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell.
